Editorial desk
- Orbit Daily editorial desk
- Research, writing, fact-checking, source linking and publication decisions. Articles carrying “Orbit Daily synthesis” are written and edited by this desk.
- Source organisations
- NASA, ESA, universities, observatories, companies and independent publishers whose reporting or primary documents are cited. A source credit is not an endorsement or a byline.
- Reader editors
- Readers who point out errors, missing context or unclear attribution. We review useful reports through the routes on the Contact page.
Authorship labels
“Orbit Daily synthesis” means the words on the page were newly written by the Orbit Daily desk from the linked reporting trail. “Lead source” names the principal starting point for that item; other sources appear in the article’s reporting trail. We never present a publisher’s article as if it were written by Orbit Daily.
Where a page quotes a person or organisation, quotation marks and attribution identify the speaker. We distinguish reported facts from our explanation and label uncertainty rather than smoothing it away.
Ownership and independence
Orbit Daily is an independent publication prototype. We do not accept payment for editorial placement, and we do not allow a source, company or public agency to approve our copy. Commercial relationships, if introduced later, will be disclosed on the relevant page.
Questions about authorship or attribution belong with the editorial desk; factual disputes should use the corrections route.
